The sweet meat of the blue crab is as good as bacon in Texas and the perfect topping to make the protein even better. My lot - the plate will contain everything most fish plates have together, but the catfish is so good that I use everything I can eat as best I can. The sweet, pressed crab with a side of jalapeno skin - and - looking for puppies - is like a fine cup of espresso. If you've been to Texas and experienced the modern attractions of the coast, you know it's one of my favorite things.
I ordered a bowl of Grit Girl Grits, which were covered in fried eggs and served with cathedral biscuits. Shrimp corndog followed by mac and cheese with chicken skin, and I shared a tasting with my favorite White Column favorites - macaroni & cheese, mac and prawns.
