Pascagoula Mississippi

Take a walk on the wild side and visit some of the most beautiful wetlands in southern Mississippi. We have compiled a list of activities along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, from fishing to boating, kayaking to hiking.

The Magnolia Birding Place is a beautiful place to observe wildlife in their natural habitat, connecting the habitats of the Pascagoula River with the Mississippi and its tributaries. The centre is home to organisms that live and visit the river basin all year round.

There are a variety of birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds of prey, fish, reptiles and amphibians.

The Trent Lott International Airport in Jackson County serves the city as well as the nearby Mobile Regional Airport in Mobile, Alabama. Located just a few miles from the Mississippi River, the Grand Magnolia Ballroom Suites offers guests access to picturesque towns in the heart of bustling Alabama, which includes Mobile and Fairhope, Daphne.

In downtown Pascagoula on the Gulf Coast there are a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, restaurants and bars as well as hotels. McCoy's tours start at the Audubon Center in Moss Point, MS, along the Pascagoula River and run through St. Louis County, Mississippi, to the Gulf of Mexico. Each tour takes an average of about two hours and covers the length of the Mississippi, about 1,500 feet, from Moss Point to the mouth of the river.

Mississippi Highway 613 (telephone road), which leads north on US 90, passes through Moss Point on its way to the Pascagoula River. Mississippi Highway 9, a 26-mile road that leads northeast to Grand Bay, Alabama, and then south to Mississippi State Park.

The Pascagoula watershed is ringed by 327 species of birds that nest in the vast cypress and tupelo swamps, oxbow lakes and wetlands. Mississippi sand hill cranes are found on the banks of the Mississippi River, along the river and in Mississippi State Park. You can hear the clatter of pines and savannahs and the whistling and clattering of a Mississippi Sandhill crane. The Pascagoula River Blueway is a huge, free-flowing waterway through the city and a place of commerce and recreation. Ship Island is one of five Mississippi Barrier Islands in the Gulf of Mexico at the mouth of the Mississippi in Pascagoula, Mississippi. It became a permanent possession of the United States in 1812 when it was added to the Mississippi Territory. Ship Island, a small island off the Mississippi coast near the city of St. Petersburg, Florida, was a shipbuilding and naval port for the U.S. Navy during the American Civil War, but came into permanent possession of the United States only in 1811 and then after the war, along with the other five islands, until the end of World War II. The first shipbuilding plant on the island, the shipyard, ship repair workshop and ship maintenance facility of the shipbuilder were located on Ship's Island.
